Sachin Tendulkar announced today his retirement from ODIs (One Day) internationals.

Indian cricket board released Sachin's statement on the day when team for Pakistan series was to be announced. Sachin really wanted to play against Pakistan and he showed his interest to play against Pakistan and informed board as well that he is available to play.
"I have decided to retire from the One Day format of the game. I feel blessed to have fulfilled the dream of being part of a World Cup wining Indian team," Tendulkar said in his statement to BCCI chief N Srinivasan.
Recently Tendulkar's retirement plans have been intensely debated in recent times through a long patch of poor form. The most prolific run getter in the world ever is 39 years of age. He has a lot of records.
In his career, Sachin has scored 18426 runs in 463 ODIs. His highest score in ODIs is 200 runs. Sachin has scored 49 centuries and 96 fifties in his career. The master batsman, who made his debut on December 18, 1989 against Pakistan, last played an ODI on March 18, 2012 also against Pakistan in Asia Cup, but unfortunately won't be playing against Pakistan in this series anymore.

Sachin was a great player without any doubt, and he wished his team all the best for the future. Sachin doesn't play T20's and he will continue to play Test Cricket for sometime
