SHOWER IN TEARS
Taking a shower in tears,
I bathe in agony.
Demon screams in the darkness are my lullaby,
While lying on a bed of nails,
And a pillow of broken hearts.
I say a prayer for those who can't cope,
Or sweeten life's lemons.
So thankful for loneliness,
It won't turn it's back on me,
Except to cuddle at night,
While the breathes of city crying,
Brings the night air to its coldest degree.
I sleep soundly when most would be miserable.
I simply accept the life I was given.
